Nature and Me

Today, we will dive into the history of one of the former jewels of the Spanish crown. We will go through the cobbled stone streets of colonial Havana, full of colorful history and traditions. Each of its main squares, different from the other, full of characters in costumes revitalizing the city.

With an early departure we will make the most time of our day. On the way we will visit a tobacco farmer and a view point overlooking the fantastic valley. Upon arrival we will take a leisure walk around town.

Get our dancing shoes and go to Polo Montañez square

We start our day taking a walk around the Mogotes, a unique limestone formation. Relate with the local birds, vegetation, and farming.

After an introduction to the community, we will take a trek towards the ruins of an old coffee plantation. We will familiarize with the history of Coffee on the island, with the local birds species and vegetation.

Overnight will be in secluded and peaceful Soroa.

Drive to Zapata swamp and get to know the history behind the world famous Bay of Pigs, visit a crocodile reservoir (or hatchery). Lunch at site.

We will go to Refugio Fauna Bermeja to admire the most favorite site for birds on the island.

Early departure. Arrival and begin trail in the mountains, bring proper shoes. The landscape and shades of green as well as the cristal clear waters make it of the most popular destinations for nature lovers on the island.

On the World Heritage list, Trinidad stands as one of the most beautiful colonial cities in Cuba. The many colors of the colonial buildings and balconies and stoned streets make a memorable visit. We will get to know the history of one of the former most affluent cities. Shop for high quality clay and crochet works.

Lunch on the way, we will go to Hemingway museum before arriving in our accommodation.

Our transfer will take us to the airport, depending on out flights.
