Taste of Cuba Tour

Today, the arts will take through the history and symbols of the island, we will visit the museum of Fine Arts ( 1:30 hrs); Afterwards, we will continue to the Hemingway Museum, where the famous author lived for 20 years and wrote some of his amazing works; and Cojimar, where he kept, El Pilar, his boat and where he got the inspiration for the Old Man and the Sea. On our way back to Havana we will stop outside of the walls of El Morro castle, the most famous fortress on the island.

From Mojito to Daiquirí... As an optional activity we can incorporate a Cuban cocktail lesson. Cuba is the home of some of the most famous cocktails. We will learn how to make the renown Mojito and/or Daiquirí.

After breakfast we set off to Pinar del Río, swapping the vibrancy of Havana for the mountains of the West. We will leisurely walk around Las Terrazas, a biosphere reserve, familiarize with its coffee tradition and its relationship to the environment and down to the Rio San Juan for a refreshing dip. We will then continue to Viñales.

Go dancing with the locals to the Cuban rhythms at the popular club right in the center of the town.

Sugar-white sand and sapphire waters earmark the Key as one of Cuba's finest beaches. We will have an amazing opportunity to swim in the crystal clear waters or just bask in the fine sand.

A National Park, Viñales, stays a a true wonder of nature on the island. We will take a trek in the valley with our local guide, around and through the Mogotes, getting to know the local birds, plants and produce of the farmers. In addition, we will visit the Tobacco farms and their drying barns to relate with the tobacco crop and harvest.

We will go to the main square of the town to enjoy the local culture.

Enjoy the early morning in town. We will depart around 9:00 am and arrive in Havana by lunch time. We will have a free afternoon to relax or shop for souvenirs or have a Mojito at a local bar.

Early departure, go through the infamous Bay of pigs (chance for snorkeling). Relate with the nature and the history of the site in one of the most important Biosphere reserve on the island.

Arrival and check into Trinidad, a colorful colonial town with a unique character. We will check into our houses and get ready for a night out in the town with the best traditional night life on the island.

We will walk though the cobbled stones of Trinidad admiring the buildings and balconies and windows, and most than anything, its fantastic bittersweet story. We will become familiar with one of the former wealthiest cities in Cuba.

Early departure back to Havana. Lunch on the way. Time for shopping souvenirs at one of the biggest and busiest shopping centers.

Depending on the time of your flight ( you will be picked up 3 hrs prior), you will either have an early or a leisure morning. A transport will be right on time to safely take you to the airport.
